This resin set brings exhausts for night operations in the type B variant for a kit of the Junkers Ju 87D-5N in 1:72 scale. It is not a stand-alone airplane model but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified plastic exhausts with castings with a well-rendered shape that damps the glare of the flame.
The Junkers Ju 87 was a German dive bomber and attack aircraft of the Second World War with a characteristic inverted gull wing. The D-5 version was among the later configurations and, on night operations, it carried modified exhausts that limited the visibility of the flame from the engine. Those exhausts are exactly the prominently visible detail that the set refines.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean up the surfaces; protect your airways while sanding. Bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). We recommend painting the exhausts in rust and burnt metal shades and picking them out with a wash for the impression of service wear.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
