Cockpit glazing masks for a model of the Kawasaki Ki-45 Toryu in 1:72 scale, shaped for the Revell and Takara kits. They are applied before spraying.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Kawasaki Ki-45 Toryu was a Japanese twin-engine heavy fighter of the Second World War, listed by the Allies under the name Nick. The two-seat cockpit with its long glazing and several sections is among its most striking features and at the same time it is the place that gives the most work in masking.
Cockpit glazing masks in 1:72 scale, shaped for the Revell and Takara kits. The elements are peeled off the backing sheet and applied to the clear part, so the laborious cutting of tape into narrow strips between the individual panes of the glazing falls away.
Wash the clear part before masking and let it dry thoroughly; grease from the fingers is the most common reason for a mask not holding and paint creeping under it.
The set is meant for a modeler who is building the Ki-45 from the kits named and wants the cockpit framing sharp and regular. Before buying, check which kit you have, so that the masks match the shape of your clear part. This is an accessory to a model: the kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
