The manufacturer designates it as a double set, that is a set with two missiles. In 1:72 scale this type of store is exactly the reason to reach for resin: a cruise missile has an angular body with sharp transitions, a thin wing and fine panel lines, which at such a small size an injection mold either rounds off or divides with a parting line along the whole length. A casting comes in one piece and with sharp edges. The missile pylons correspond to the F-15K kit from Academy.
The TAURUS KEPD 350 is a cruise missile intended for attacks on well protected and hardened targets from a long range, outside the reach of point air defense. The version designated 350K is intended for the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) and is carried by the two-seat F-15K fighter, the Korean variant of the F-15E. The missile is hung under the airplane on underwing pylons and its size and shape markedly change the look of the whole machine: a model with this store looks quite different from the same airplane with classic air-to-air armament.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water, so that the mold release from the mold comes off the surface, because otherwise neither paint nor primer will hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw as close to the part as you can and level the surface with abrasive paper used wet and with protection for your airways, because resin dust must not be breathed in. On the long body of the missile you are sanding at the point where the part is thickest, so work out in advance how you are going to hold it. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply a thin coat of primer before painting; only on it will you see whether the transition left by the casting block is really smooth. Paint the missile separately from the airplane and hang it on only at the end, when the model is painted and varnished.
This is an accessory set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
