Self-adhesive masks in 1:72 scale for the Japanese Nakajima Ki-49 Donryu army bomber. The control surfaces and the flaps get a shadow effect that gives the surface depth. Intended for the Hasegawa or Revell kits.

Self-adhesive masks for 1:72 scale, thanks to which the control surfaces and flaps of the Nakajima Ki-49 bomber gain shading with a three-dimensional effect. A smooth molding thus takes on the character of a covered skeleton and the surfaces stop merging with their surroundings. The set is designed for the Hasegawa or Revell kits.
The Ki-49 came about as the successor to the successful Ki-21 and was to be so well armed and protected that it could do without a fighter escort. Armor, protected tanks and numerous defensive armament were indeed added, but a sufficiently strong engine did not share in the extra weight. The defensive fire was among the strongest Japanese bombers of the day carried. The result was a slow aircraft with a small bomb load and a poor range, which never pushed its predecessor out. Part of the machines finished their service in the transport role and, at the close of the war, in suicide operations as well. The name Donryu refers to a temple; the Allies designated the aircraft Helen.
Work in a well ventilated room and run a finger along the whole edge once a stencil is applied. If a little paint does get under an edge, you will put it right with a fine brush and the shade of the base before the coat hardens. Take the sheet off from the edge toward the center; a smooth pull does not disturb the edge.
