Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Lavochkin La-5FN fighter in 1:72 scale from the Russian maker Zvezda. The model goes together easily and thanks to its lower demands suits less experienced modelers as well; the rendering captures the characteristic silhouette of one of the most successful Soviet fighters of the Second World War.
The La-5FN was the advanced version of the Lavochkin fighter with a radial engine, in which the letters FN denoted a boosted supercharged engine of higher power. The machine excelled in agility and climb at low and medium altitude and became an equal match for the German fighters on the Eastern Front. Leading Soviet aces flew it too.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and try the fuselage joints dry. Lay down a primer and spray the Soviet camouflage with an airbrush; a gray-green combination on the upper surfaces and light blue underneath is typical. Bring out the engraving with a dark wash, mask the glazing and lay down gloss varnish before the decals. Discreet traces of service wear suit it as well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
