An RB 50/30 serial camera in 1:72 scale from AML suits the reconnaissance versions of the Bf 110 and the Fw 189 - the heart of a tactical reconnaissance fit.

This miniature of the powerful RB 50/30 serial camera from the Czech manufacturer AML rounds out the reconnaissance versions of twin-engined machines such as the Messerschmitt Bf 110 (given in the name under its commercial designation Me-110) and the Focke-Wulf Fw 189. The package in 1:72 scale holds only the equipment, not the aircraft - your kit supplies that.
Cameras with a longer focal length made it possible to photograph from greater altitude while keeping the detail readable - exactly what reconnaissance over well defended areas needed. The Focke-Wulf Fw 189, known as the Uhu, became a symbol of tactical reconnaissance on the Eastern Front, while the reconnaissance versions of the Bf 110 managed fast missions over the front and deeper into the rear as well. The serial camera in the fuselage bay was the heart of the fit on both types and decided whether the crew came back with usable material.
Think through whether you will show the camera in the bay of the aircraft or on the ground beside the machine during preparation for a mission. The built-in option benefits from an open cover and suggested cable runs; for a ground scene, add a crate or a trolley to the camera. A semi-matte black with light edge highlighting looks most natural on optical instruments and lets the shape of the instrument stand out.
