The MATRA R550 Magic training round with Remove Before Flight tags 1:72 is a resin accessory for the underwing load of a combat aircraft model. It is not an aircraft kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin accessory for models of combat aircraft in 1:72 scale that represents the training form of the French MATRA R550 Magic short-range guided missile together with Remove Before Flight warning tags. Training rounds differ from live ones in their markings and coloring and on a model they immediately give away that the machine is captured in a peacetime training configuration. It is not an aircraft kit but an armament accessory.
The MATRA R550 Magic is a French short-range air-to-air guided missile with infrared guidance, intended for close maneuvering combat. It is carried on the wingtips or on underwing pylons and is found on a number of French aircraft as well as export machines. Besides live rounds there are also training and dummy versions used for training ground personnel and for practicing flight tasks.
Wash the resin parts in warm soapy water so that the mold release residue disappears. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw rather than snapping them off. Sand wet and with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). A bright signal shade is typical of training rounds, and on a model it only stands out over a well applied base, so it pays to spray the area white and only then to apply the final tone. Leave the tags for the end, so that they do not break off during handling.
This is an accessory, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
