Eduard MC.202 Folgore masks 1:72 is a pre-cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the Italian Macchi C.202 Folgore fighter. It gives sharp paint transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model, but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This pre-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:72 scale is intended for a plastic model of the Italian Macchi C.202 Folgore fighter. It is not a kit and it is not a model in its own right, but a set of precisely shaped masks made of thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp paint transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage areas without lengthy cutting of tape by hand.
The Macchi C.202 Folgore is an Italian single-engine fighter of the Second World War with a liquid-cooled inverted V12 engine, a licensed version of the German Daimler-Benz DB 601. Compared with the earlier C.200 it gained a slimmer fuselage and markedly higher speed, and in its day it was among the best Italian fighters. It was flown by the Regia Aeronautica over Malta, in North Africa and elsewhere.
Degrease the canopy glazing and let it dry. Take the masks off the backing and lay them on the frame of the windshield and on the sliding sections, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint is dry, peel them off carefully at a sharp angle. The set also makes it easier to lay out the sharp edges of the camouflage areas.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
