A set from the LööKplus range puts together the three things that are most visible on a finished model: the instrument panel of the pilot's compartment, the seat belts and cast main landing gear wheels. It is not an aircraft kit, but an upgrade for a model you already have.
The Bf-109G-10 belongs to the late versions of the German single-engine fighter. It came about through conversion and new production of airframes with the more powerful DB 605 series engine and with a reworked engine cowling, which gave the nose its characteristic bulge. The aircraft were built in several plants and differed in details – the shape of the rudder, the form of the landing gear covers and the cockpit equipment. It is exactly these differences that make the G-10 a rewarding, but also a treacherous subject for a modeler, because two boxes with the same designation may hide different aircraft.
Fit the instrument panel before you close the fuselage and try it dry to see whether it clashes with the side walls. The belts gain credibility if you wave them gently and fold them over the edge of a pair of tweezers before gluing them in. Fit the wheels at the end of the build and set the tire apart from the hub by surface texture as well, not only by shade.
