Mi-24V - interior 3D decals 1:72 (Quinta Studio)

A set of three-dimensional decals for the interior of the Mi-24V attack helicopter in 1:72 scale. The elements have real relief and are printed on a backing decal paper: the part is cut out, soaked in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the paper onto the plastic part. On the Mi-24 that makes a great deal of sense: the machine has two separate cockpits in tandem and both are covered by large clear glazing, so the interior is clearly visible on the finished model. The elements are finished in color, so painting is not needed.

Use

• Deal with the two cockpits separately and test dry in advance whether the elements clash with the inserts of the glazing.
• Cut close to the edge of the relief; any remnant of the backing layer would form a visible rim after the transfer.
• The elements have no adhesive layer of their own - degrease the surface and go over it with a gloss coat (Future/Klear, Tamiya X-22), on which they hold best.
• Slide the element off the paper into place, blot the excess water away and press it down with a soft tool; on curved surfaces a drop of super glue helps.
• Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin. At the end tie the whole interior together with a thin matte coat.

For modelers who build the Mi-24V in 1:72 scale and want an interior that matches how much of it is visible through the glazing. It will also be welcomed by anyone who does not want to paint miniature instruments with a brush. Sets of this type are usually developed for one particular kit, so check compatibility beforehand.

This is an add-on set of 3D decals, not a kit. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
