MiG-15 Korean War is a plastic kit of the Soviet jet fighter in 1:72 scale from Smer.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Smer. The model captures the famous Soviet jet fighter as it made its name in the fighting over Korea. It is a classic, straightforward mold suitable even for less experienced modelers. The package holds plastic sprues and decals; the exact contents are stated on the box.
In the early 1950s the MiG-15 was among the best jet fighters in the world. A swept wing, a powerful engine and heavy cannon armament made it a dangerous opponent in the Korean War; the duels with American F-86 Sabres over what was called MiG Alley went down in the history of aviation. A simple, rugged and easy-to-fly machine, it was built in enormous numbers and became a symbol of the era of the first jet fighters.
Assemble the cockpit and the landing gear, and mask the glazing before clear coating. Glue the plastic with thin modeling cement and sand the fuselage joints. The metal, or rather silvery, surface of the aircraft comes out well after a smooth undercoat has been sprayed; stir the metallic paint thoroughly and apply it with an airbrush at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
