A vacuum-formed clear canopy for a MiG-19 model in 1:72 scale, tied to the kit from Kovozavody Prostejov. The thin film makes it possible to build the cockpit open.
Responsibility details are not available.
The MiG-19 was a Soviet single-seat fighter of the 1950s and the first series-built Soviet machine to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. It served in a number of Eastern Bloc air forces, where it stayed in service even after newer types arrived. On a model its cockpit is conspicuous, because the frame and the glazing form a marked dividing line between the nose and the spine of the fuselage.
A vacuum-formed clear canopy for a model in 1:72 scale, intended for the MiG-19 kit from Kovozavody Prostejov. The drawn film is substantially thinner and cleaner than an injection-molded part, so the cockpit interior really can be seen through it and the canopy can be set open. The number of pieces in the package is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
First trace the outline of the part with a spirit marker, cut it out with an overlap and only then sand the edge down gradually on abrasive paper laid on a flat board. Try the seating every few moments; what has been taken off cannot be put back. Super glue fogs clear film, so bond it with glue meant for clear parts or with white PVA glue. Mask the frames with tape before spraying rather than after the paint has dried, and lay down the interior shade of the frame first.
The model, paints, glue and masking tape are not included, unless stated otherwise.
