The MiG-21F-13 was one of the first production versions of the famous Soviet fighter. It is a single-seat machine with a delta wing and a circular nose air intake with a movable shock cone in the middle of it. The early versions have a slimmer spine than the later ones and a differently arranged canopy, so they differ at first glance from the later machines of the MiG-21 family. The type reached many users around the world and is a perennially popular subject among modelers.
This is an extensive set of exterior parts for a model in 1:72 scale, which the name describes both as a big set and as an exterior set. According to the name the parts are made by 3D printing, which on small items means sharp edges and fine surfaces where a kit part would have to be simplified. The set is intended for Kovozavody Prostejov kits.
Printed parts are held on thin supports. Cut them away with a sharp blade a little clear of the part and carefully sand off the remainder with fine sandpaper, so that neither a stub nor a hollow is left. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, because print resin residue is usually present on the surface and would stop paint from holding. The material is more brittle than the plastic of a kit, so handle small parts with tweezers and do not try to bend them. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, and a coat of primer is in order. The specific procedure follows the manufacturer's instructions.
The printed parts are supplied according to the name. The kit of the aircraft, decals, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
