A 1:72 masking set, Mikoyan MiG-23UB (Peewit)

A set of self-adhesive masking templates in 1:72 scale for a plastic model of the training two-seat version of the Soviet fighter with a variable-geometry wing, the MiG-23UB. The manufacturer is the Czech firm Peewit. It is not a kit. The masks exactly follow the shape of the frames of both cockpits.

What the set is for

A two-seat cockpit means more glazing and more frames. Pre-cut masks speed the work up and ensure sharp, clean edges. Canopy masks of this type tend to be supplemented by masks for the wheel rims.

Use

  • Degrease the glazing, transfer the mask with tweezers and press the edges down.
  • Spray with an airbrush in thin coats.
  • Peel the mask off while the clear coat is still fresh.

  • Modelers who want a precisely painted cockpit.

A standalone masking set. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
