A resin set of replacement wheels with weighted tires for MiG-9 Fargo and early MiG-15 Fagot models in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory for a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A cast resin set of replacement landing gear wheels with weighted tires, that is with the flattening in the contact patch that the weight of a standing aircraft presses into the rubber. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory that replaces the wheels from the plastic kit. The box describes the set as universal, that is not tied to one single model. The Ukrainian brand Armory casts these sets in resin; the parts are unpainted and sit on casting blocks.
The MiG-9 Fargo was the first production Soviet jet fighter; it flew in 1946 and still had a straight wing. The swept-wing MiG-15 Fagot that replaced it became the most widespread fighter of the Eastern bloc and served in Czechoslovakia as well. Early MiG-15 production batches carried different wheels from the later MiG-15bis and MiG-17, and it is the early machines and the MiG-9 that this set is intended for.
First wash the parts in warm soapy water so that the mold release residue disappears from the surface. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and level the seating face with a sanding sponge; protect your airways when sanding resin. They are glued with cyanoacrylate super glue, as polystyrene cement will not hold here. Before painting it is worth spraying a primer, and then shading the tread a little darker gray than the sidewall of the tire.
The set does not contain the kit, glue or paints, unless stated otherwise.
