A set of self-adhesive cut painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:72 scale. It is not a model but an accessory for building: the masks help you spray the frames of the glazed nose and the cockpit cleanly and mask the wheel hubs. The film follows the shape of the frames exactly, so there is no laborious cutting and the edges stay sharp.
The de Havilland Mosquito was a British twin-engine aircraft of the Second World War with a largely wooden structure. The bomber (and reconnaissance) versions had a glazed nose for the navigator-bombardier, unlike the fighter aircraft with their solid nose and armament. It is precisely the complex glazing of the nose and cockpit that is demanding to mask on the bomber version, which is why this set matches the bomber variant.
Lift the mask off the backing, seat it on the glazing and press it down. Spray the frames with an airbrush, first in the interior shade and then in the exterior tone, and peel them off once dry. Cover the glazed nose and the areas between the frames with liquid mask or tape. Degrease the glazing before applying the masks for better adhesion.
This is not an airplane model but a set of masks. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
