The Nanchang Q-5 (NATO reporting name Fantan) is a Chinese supersonic ground-attack aircraft developed from the design of the Soviet MiG-19 fighter aircraft. It served mainly for attacks on ground targets; it was distinguished by an elongated nose without a frontal intake, which moved to side inlets, and by an internal bomb bay. It was widely deployed by the People's Liberation Army Air Force and on export markets as well.
Paint the cockpit interior and the landing gear bays before you close the fuselage. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay down a primer and spray the appropriate camouflage or metal scheme with an airbrush; accent the panel lines with a fine wash and use gloss varnish under the decals.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
