A decal sheet for a model of the twin-engine bomber North American B-25C Mitchell in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A bomber has large areas of fuselage and wing and the markings on them tend to be prominent. Printed decals will keep them crisp even in 1:72 scale, where hand painting would manage neither a straight edge nor a small inscription. The sheet is intended for a model of the B-25C Mitchell; which elements it contains and where they belong is shown by the manufacturer's instructions.
The B-25 Mitchell is an American twin-engine medium bomber of the Second World War, recognizable by its pair of vertical tail surfaces and radial engines. Version C belongs to the early forms with a glazed nose for a bombardier. Machines of this type flew with a number of Allied users in all the main theaters.
First finish the paint and clear coat the model with gloss clear, so that the base is smooth. Before application check in the instructions whether these are wet decals or a self-adhesive form: a wet element releases in lukewarm water, while soaking damages a self-adhesive form. Lay large elements from one edge and press the air out with a soft brush toward the outside, otherwise a bubble will be left under them. Draw the excess water off with a tissue, let the model dry thoroughly undisturbed and only then even the surface out with a final clear coat.
A decal sheet is supplied. The kit, paints and clear coats are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
