An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet multi-purpose light armored prime mover MT-LB in 1:35 scale from UM. The model is done in the variant with self-entrenching equipment, that is, with a dozer blade with which the vehicle can dig itself a shelter. The package combines plastic parts with photo-etched elements, decals and tracks.
The MT-LB is a Soviet multi-purpose light armored tracked prime mover with a low silhouette and good cross-country performance. It was used for towing guns, for carrying personnel and as the chassis for a range of derived vehicles. The version with self-entrenching equipment allowed the vehicle to create a covered firing or observation position for itself.
Assemble and varnish the running gear and the tracks before finishing the hull. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. Apply the base green shade with an airbrush, then use washes and pigments for dust and mud effects, which come into their own on equipment with a blade. Fit the small parts at the end of the build.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
