A masking set for spraying the national insignia on an OV-10A Bronco model in 1:72 scale, shaped for the ICM kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The OV-10A Bronco is an American observation and light attack aircraft with twin tail booms, a high-set wing and a glazed forward cockpit. It was built for work low over the ground: the crew needed above all to see, to stay in the air for a long time and to operate from short strips, not to fly fast. Hence the unusual shape by which the aircraft is recognized at first glance.
National insignia can be transferred onto a model with decals, or sprayed through a mask. A sprayed insignia has no glossy rim of carrier film around it, does not lift at the edges and does not have to be varnished over to make its edge disappear. The set is shaped for the ICM kit, so the size and placement of the insignia match that model.
Apply the mask only to a cured and degreased surface, otherwise it will tear part of the finish away with it. Spray the paint in thin coats; on a multicolor insignia the shades are laid on one after another and the order of the steps is given in the manufacturer's instructions. Press the edges of the mask down before spraying so that the paint cannot creep under them, and take the mask off shortly after the paint has dried, not after several days.
A masking set is supplied. Paints, thinners and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
