Masks for the glazing and wheels of the Curtiss P-40B (1:72) — die-cut self-adhesive Eduard painting masks for accurate spraying of the cockpit frames and the wheels of the fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of die-cut self-adhesive painting masks of the Eduard brand in 1:72 scale for a model of the Curtiss P-40B fighter. It is neither a kit nor a model — they are precisely die-cut masks in thin masking tape which adhere to the cockpit glazing and to the landing gear wheels. With them you can spray the frames of the canopy and the centers of the discs with a crisp edge, without laboriously cutting and applying ordinary tape.
The Curtiss P-40 was an American fighter from the beginning of the Second World War with an Allison V engine. The early P-40B version served with the American and Allied air arms and made its name among other places with the Flying Tigers volunteer group in China, with the characteristic shark mouth on the nose. It ranked among the most widespread American fighters of its day.
Spray the shade of the cockpit frames first, and once it is dry lay the masks on the glazing and overspray with the color of the fuselage. The wheel masks hold the center of the disc while the tires are sprayed. The thin tape adapts to the curve of the canopy and leaves a clean edge. For the best adhesion, degrease the surface before applying them, rid it of dust and press the masks down with a soft tool, so that paint does not run under the edge.
This is a masking set. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
