An injection-molded plastic kit of the American North American P-51D-5 Mustang fighter in 1:72 scale from Kovozavody Prostejov. It is a new mold capturing the early D-5 production version without the dorsal fin. The decal sheet brings the markings of the machines of the 357th Fighter Group. The model comes unassembled and unpainted.
The P-51 Mustang was among the most successful fighters of the Second World War. The D version with its teardrop canopy offered an excellent view and, combined with a powerful engine and a long range, escorted bomber formations deep over enemy territory. The D-5 block was the opening series of the D line. The machines of the 357th Fighter Group operated from England and ran up a high number of aerial victories.
Glue the parts with a thin modeling cement for plastic and sand the joints down. The cockpit and the interior are best finished before the fuselage is closed up. You will achieve the natural metal surface of the Mustangs with metallic paints on a smooth base, ideally by airbrush, and set the shades of the panels apart subtly. Finish the markings with the enclosed decals and unify the surface with a varnish.
The model comes unassembled and unpainted. The glue, the paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
