A kit of the Phänomen Granit 25H light truck in a special purpose-built conversion, in 1:72 scale from the Attack Hobby Kits brand. The Propagandawagen subtitle refers to a standard fitted with loudspeaker equipment for an announcing service, that is to an unarmed rear-area vehicle. The contents of the package and the number of parts are stated on the box.
The Granit 25H was a light truck of German manufacture from the 1930s, which was built in a whole range of body standards. Beside the classic flatbed version, ambulance, workshop, signals and other purpose-built bodies were produced, so a single chassis carried very different bodywork. The vehicle had a short wheelbase and a simple design and was conceived rather for made-up roads than for heavy going. The standard for the announcing and loudspeaker service carried loudspeakers and technical equipment on the body, which sets it apart visually from the ordinary truck versions and makes it a rewarding subject both for a modeler and for a rear-area diorama.
Proceed from the chassis and the axles, finish and paint the cab and the body separately and join them only at the end. Try the parts dry first and clean the parting lines up with a sanding sponge. Use thin modeling cement for the plastic parts and superglue for any resin or metal ones. The loudspeakers and the small technical equipment will take separate painting and a light accent on the edges. After the base color, bring out the panels and the gaps with a wash, add dust pigments to the underside of the vehicle and set the tires apart with a more matte shade so that they do not merge with the body.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
