This kit from the UM brand treats one of the early production versions of the German medium tank that formed the backbone of the armored units at the start of the Second World War. The 1:72 scale makes it possible to build a whole platoon in the space that would otherwise take a single large model, and that is why it is popular with collectors who focus on complete units.
This type came about as the antitank partner to the heavier support tank, and its strength lay in the arrangement of the crew, the commander's field of view and decent mobility. The Ausf. G version is associated with the change to a more powerful 5 cm gun, which markedly improved the fighting value of the vehicle against the opponents of the day. Vehicles of this series served on several fronts, among them North Africa, where they received modifications for operating in a hot and dusty environment.
The running gear is the most sensitive place in small scales. Glue the wheels and the rollers on a flat surface so that the model does not sit crooked, and fit the tracks before you close the fenders up. You do not have to deal with the interior of the hull, but time spent on the seams does pay off. After the base coat come dust and mud: apply the pigments from the bottom up and let them lighten toward the ground. Seat the turret numbers and the crosses on a smooth gloss undercoat.
You receive the model unassembled and unpainted. The paints and the glue are a separate item.
