This is an injection-molded plastic kit of the German Tiger II heavy tank, known as the Königstiger or King Tiger, in 1:72 scale. The kit from the manufacturer Flyhawk is renowned for its exceptionally fine detail and precise execution in the small scale. The package contains plastic parts for this variant; it is a modern new mold.
The Tiger II was the heaviest German tank put into series service in the Second World War. It combined steeply sloped armor with a long 88 mm gun, which was able to destroy practically every Allied tank at long range. For its firepower and protection, however, it paid with great weight, high fuel consumption and demanding maintenance of the power train.
Finish the running gear before closing up the hull. Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic and place the small elements with tweezers. We recommend a primer and an airbrush; accentuate the typical three-tone camouflage with washes and pigments and do not forget the mud and dust on the running gear.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
