Xtradecal 1:72 RAF WWII - code letters in Sky, 18 inches is a set of waterslide decals with the unit code letters of the Royal Air Force.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from Xtradecal. It holds a set of code letters and characters in Sky (a light gray-green) at a height matching 18 inches. It serves for making up unit codes and individual letters of British aircraft. The decals are in accurate register and have clean edges.
During the Second World War the Royal Air Force marked its aircraft with two or three code letters, which identified the squadron and the particular machine. On day types the light Sky color was often used. Letters 18 inches high match the usual format on the sides of the fuselage. Thanks to the loose letters you can put together practically any code to match your subject.
Work over a smooth gloss varnish. Cut the individual letters out, dip them in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide them onto the surface of the model; watch for even spacing and alignment. For perfect settling, use softening and setting solution and finally go over everything with a protective varnish in the degree of gloss you want.
This is a stand-alone set of decals. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
