The real subject

The Rafale C is the single-seat version of the French multirole combat aircraft. The Tiger Meet gathering is an annual meeting of squadrons that have a tiger in their badge; among its customs is that the participating units have one machine sprayed in a special finish. This sheet captures the form of the aircraft with the code 118-EF for the gathering in 2012. The unit is kept in the designation as 5/330.

What the sheet contains

Decals for the scheme described in 1:72 scale. The layout of the sheet, the exact placement of the elements and the recommended base finish are given by the enclosed instructions. Special finishes of this kind tend to be more complicated than series schemes, so it pays to go through the instructions before spraying the model.

How the decals are applied

The sheet is a flat printed one, that is a classic wet decal. Clear-coat the place under the decal with a gloss varnish so that the surface is not porous. Soak the cut-out element in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it begins to slide on the backing. Slide it onto the moistened surface, align it with a soft brush and draw the water off. With large-area elements proceed from the center toward the edges, so that no air is trapped under the film. Apply the softener in a thin layer and do not touch the decal until it is dry, otherwise it will tear. Finally clear-coat the whole model.
