1:72 Rafale C 30-GK 80 ans EC 3/30 Lorraine 2021 is a decal sheet for the single-seat Rafale in the ceremonial finish for the unit's eightieth anniversary.
Responsibility details are not available.
The sheet is intended for a model of the single-seat Dassault Rafale C. It names the fuselage code 30-GK, the EC 3/30 Lorraine unit and the year 2021, when the traditional French fighter group marked eighty years since its formation. The extent of the printed area and the content of the supplementary lettering are not stated here.
The name Lorraine belongs to a French air unit whose formation falls in 1941 and whose tradition the present-day squadron of the French Air Force claims as its own. The Rafale is a twin-engine multirole fighter with a delta wing and foreplanes, which replaced several older types at once in service. Anniversary finishes on this aircraft tend to be concentrated on the vertical tail and on the fuselage spine, where the largest continuous area remains.
Large anniversary motifs are better divided into smaller parts along the panel engraving, otherwise they cannot be settled over the curvature of the fuselage without creases. A smooth gloss surface is an absolute necessity. Once dry, draw the remaining adhesive off with a damp cloth and go over the area with a matte or semi-gloss varnish, according to how the real aircraft looked in photographs.
The item comprises decals, not plastic parts; a Rafale model has to be ready.
