This is NOT a model but a resin detail set. The package holds two underwing refueling pods for the tanker version of the KC-130J, used for passing fuel to other aircraft in flight. The finely cast resin parts replace or supplement the parts of the base kit. Meant for KC-130J models in 1:72 scale.

The real subject

The Lockheed Martin KC-130J is the tanker and transport variant of the proven four-engined turboprop Hercules. The refueling pods on the wings allow helicopters and aircraft alike to be refueled by the probe-and-drogue method.

Building tips

• Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water.
• Cut the casting blocks off and clean the surfaces up with respiratory protection against the dust.
• Glue with cyanoacrylate and set the pods symmetrically on both wings.
• Apply a primer suitable for resin before painting.
