Lavochkin La-7 1:72 from Hobby Boss — an injection-molded plastic kit of the outstanding Soviet fighter of the end of the Second World War in an easy-build form.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet Lavochkin La-7 fighter in 1:72 scale from Hobby Boss. The model belongs to the easy assembly range with a smaller parts count, an engraved surface, a metal propeller shaft, one-piece cockpit glazing and decals for the Soviet Air Force. The box offers variants of the gun covers and a simple cockpit, so it suits beginning modelers as well.
The La-7 was the culmination of the line of fighters designed by Lavochkin and one of the best Soviet fighters of the end of the Second World War. It was based on the earlier La-5, but it received a more powerful radial engine, better aerodynamics and heavier armament. At the altitudes typical of combat on the Eastern Front it could boldly match even the best German machines. The La-7 was also flown by Ivan Kozhedub, the most successful Allied fighter pilot.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with thin liquid cement for plastic. Although this is an easy-build kit, the cockpit benefits from a wash and from a careful fit of the one-piece canopy. Mask the glazing for clean frames. Spray the Soviet camouflage with an airbrush over a primer in thin coats and bring it to life with a fine panel wash; do not forget the striking red stars and any personal markings of the aces.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
