Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet T-55 model 1958 medium tank in 1:72 scale from the Trumpeter brand. The set holds parts in gray plastic, one-piece vinyl tracks and a decal sheet. The model captures the low cast turret and the long gun, typical of this widespread series of tanks.
The T-55 was taken into service in 1958 as the improved successor to the T-54 medium tank. It took over all the improvements of the fully matured T-54 series without changing radically in design or appearance. It carried a gun of 100 mm caliber, had a more powerful engine and better equipment. Thanks to its reliability, simplicity and low cost it became one of the most numerous tanks in the world and served for decades with many armies.
Assemble and paint the running gear before you close the hull. Join the vinyl tracks with cyanoacrylate glue. Bring the cast turret to life with a fine texture and a dry rub. We recommend a primer, the base green shade with an airbrush and weathering with washes into the recesses, plus pigments and dust effects on the running gear. Straighten the long barrel and clean up the mold seam.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
