This injection-molded plastic kit from Zvezda represents the transporter erector launcher (TEL) of the Russian S-400 Triumf surface-to-air missile system, NATO code SA-21, in 1:72 scale. The model captures the massive multi-axle vehicle with its launch canisters raised into the firing position. The kit contains a generous number of parts and offers detailed rendering of the chassis and the superstructure.
The S-400 Triumf is a Russian long- and medium-range anti-aircraft and anti-missile system intended to destroy aircraft, unmanned vehicles, guided missiles and ballistic missiles at high altitude. The TEL carries canisters with the missiles and forms part of a larger complex with a command vehicle and a radar vehicle. The system has been in service since the middle of the first decade of this century.
Glue with liquid cement for plastic, and assemble and paint the chassis and the axles before closing up the superstructure. The launch canisters can be built either lowered in the traveling position or raised for firing. Dusting with pigments and light washes on the chassis suit a realistic look.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
