1:72 Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 interior is an Eduard photo-etched set for the interior of a model of the Italian three-engine aircraft in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
According to its name, this set aims at the inside of the aircraft. The metal parts step in where it is possible to look in through the glazing once the build is complete, and they replace plastic simplification with a finer rendition. It is an accessory for a model, not the model itself; it is made by Eduard.
The SM.79 came about in the middle of the 1930s originally as a fast transport aircraft, and only then was a combat machine made of it. Inside the fuselage a roomy pilot's cockpit, the bombardier's station in a ventral gondola and the radio operator's position therefore met. The crew numbered five to six men depending on the version, and it is exactly the layout of the interior that sets the type apart from the simpler twin-engine aircraft of its day.
The interior parts belong on the model before the fuselage is closed, so allow for them right at the start. After gluing, always try dry whether the fuselage halves still come together: the metal adds a few tenths of a millimeter and the seam would otherwise open up. Sit down under good light before you reach for the glue. It pays to paint the cockpit before you close it, because it is hard to maneuver a brush in a finished fuselage.
