This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer First to Fight captures the German light reconnaissance armored car Sd.Kfz.223 (leichter Panzerspähwagen) in the version fitted with a radio set. The model is supplied as an unassembled and unpainted kit meant to be glued together and painted.
The Sd.Kfz.223 was the radio variant of the line of light four-wheeled reconnaissance armored cars. It carried a radio set with a characteristic frame antenna for communication over longer distances and light armament in a small turret. It was used for reconnaissance and for passing information on with the forward units.
In 1:72 scale take care over the clean gluing of the small parts and of the fine frame antenna. Assemble the chassis and the hull first. Use liquid cement for plastic. Once sprayed with a primer, paint it with an airbrush; the underside and the wheels come to life with dust pigments, and a wash will bring out the panels.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
