This is a set of photo-etched seatbelts of the British Q type, color-printed at the factory. It is not a kit but a fine accessory with which you bring the cockpit of 1:72 models of Royal Air Force aircraft to life. The color printing faithfully reproduces the straps, the fittings and the buckles, and hand painting is no longer needed.
Q type belts were used by the Royal Air Force in a range of fighters and other aircraft. Seat straps are clearly visible in an open cockpit and a faithful rendering of them markedly raises the realism of a model. The set suits several British types of the corresponding period.
Separate the straps from the fret, shape them by bending over an edge so that they drape naturally over the seat, and glue them with a small amount of super glue or with glue for photo-etched parts. The printed layer does not tolerate aggressive thinners, so handle them carefully around the belts.
The accessory is supplied unassembled. The base model and glue are not included in the package.
