1:72 Slovakia Airport, Bratislava, M.R. Stefanik, Base sets an aircraft model on the apron of the largest Slovak airport.
Responsibility details are not available.
1:72 is the scale in which practically anything that ever flew can be built, and models in it take up little room. This surface matches that: it gives an aircraft a setting without taking up a whole shelf. It is not a kit; the printing is finished and it is used without modification.
Surfaces showing particular European airports appear only exceptionally; general concrete aprons and deck scenes predominate. The Bratislava airport is the largest in Slovakia and a modeler from Czechia or Slovakia usually knows it personally, which gives the resulting scene a personal dimension that an anonymous runway will never have.
In 1:72 a larger aircraft fits onto the surface than in coarser scales, but with really large machines it is better to measure the span against the illustration beforehand. We recommend setting a model onto the surface from above, so that nothing shifts under the wheels. The surface is rewarding for shots of several machines too, if you collect a whole unit or a fleet of one era. It serves just as well as a permanent place for a model under construction that needs to rest somewhere between the individual stages of the build without lying directly on the workbench.
Neither the aircraft nor ground crew are supplied with this item.
