The Dassault Super Mystère B2 was a French fighter of the 1950s and the first production Western European machine able to exceed the speed of sound in level flight. A swept wing, a barrel-shaped fuselage and a nose intake make it a typical representative of its generation.
A set of replacement landing gear wheels in 1:72 scale. On a small model the wheels tend to be the most conspicuous place where a kit part falls short: the tread is lost, the hub is only suggested and the seam left by manufacture runs across the tire. A replacement wheel gets around these troubles and is fitted in place of the kit part. The difference is visible even without a magnifier, because on a standing model the wheel is at the eye level of the viewer and right beside it is the smooth landing gear leg for comparison. According to the name the wheels are cut for Special Hobby kits, so they should seat without modification; the order of work and any fine-tuning are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Cut excess material away with a sharp blade a little from the part and sand the remainder down carefully, so that the shape of the tire stays whole. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, or the paint will not take. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts. A tire is not black but dark gray, so it pays to lighten it at the end with a thin breath of dust. If the wheel has a flattening of the contact patch suggested, turn it to the ground when gluing, or the model will look as if it were not touching the ground.
A set of replacement wheels is supplied. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
