Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit from the Ukrainian company Roden captures the experimental ground-attack version of the British Sopwith Camel fighter, known as the Trench Fighter, in 1:72 scale. The kit is meant to be glued and painted and contains decals for period color schemes.
The Trench Fighter was an attempt to adapt the Sopwith Camel to the support of ground troops. The aircraft had machine guns aimed obliquely downward for firing into trenches and a cockpit protected by armor plate. The first flight took place at the beginning of 1918, but the idea of firing obliquely downward did not prove itself in practice and only a few test aircraft were built.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade, clean them up and glue them with thin cement for plastic. A primer and an airbrush are the way to go. Pay attention to the bracing wires and to the seating of the armament under the fuselage and on the upper wing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
