A set of photo-etched metal parts for the model of the Spitfire F.Mk.VII in 1:72 scale. The thin metal gives small features definition that plastic cannot manage in this scale.

A set of photo-etched metal parts for the model of the Spitfire F.Mk.VII in 1:72 scale. In a small scale photo-etching is at its most effective precisely because the thickness of the sheet matches the real thickness of thin sheet features, whereas injection-molded plastic has to be considerably thicker because of the mold. The extent of the set and the placement of the individual parts are described in the manufacturer's instructions.
The Spitfire F.Mk.VII belongs among the high-altitude versions of the British fighter. Its cockpit is pressurized so that the pilot can stand flight at great heights, and the wing has extended pointed tips, which improve the behavior of the machine in thin air. From the outside it is therefore a Spitfire with a noticeably different wing outline than the usual versions have.
The parts in 1:72 scale really are tiny. Work over a light surface with a raised edge so that a lost part can be found, and separate them with a sharp blade right in the fret, not by breaking them off. Make the bends over the edge of a metal ruler; hold a small part with flat-jawed tweezers while bending. Join the metal with super glue applied drop by drop from a toothpick, so that it does not run into the surroundings. Degrease the surface before painting and lay on a thin primer.
The package contains photo-etched parts only. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
