Eduard 1:72 resin radiator fairings for the Spitfire Mk. VIII / IX / XVI replace the plastic radiator fairings under the wing with a truer casting.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin radiator fairings of the Eduard brand in 1:72 scale for models of the Supermarine Spitfire fighter in the Mk. VIII, Mk. IX and Mk. XVI versions. It is not a kit but a detail accessory. The resin casting has a cleaner shape and finer detail than the plastic parts, above all on the leading and trailing edges of the fairing.
The Spitfire was the iconic British fighter of the Second World War. The Mk. VIII, IX and XVI versions were powered by Rolls-Royce and Packard Merlin engines respectively and were recognized among other things by the pair of underwing radiator fairings. Faithfully shaped fairings markedly influence the silhouette of the underside of the wing on a finished model.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife and sand the mating surfaces down. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways when sanding resin. Degrease the parts before painting and spray a primer.
The accessory does not contain the model itself, nor glue or paints. It is meant for completing an existing kit.
