Eduard SPACE 1:72 Spitfire Mk.I is a set of colored 3D interior decals completed with colored photo-etched steel parts for faithfully detailing the cockpit of Spitfire Mk.I models.
Responsibility details are not available.
The SPACE line from the Czech maker Eduard combines colored 3D decals, which are lifted off moistened backing paper without immersing the sheet, with pre-printed colored photo-etched parts of steel. At 1:72 scale you can thus detail a cockpit quickly and faithfully, including the instrument panel in relief and the seat belts. It is not an airplane model but an upgrade accessory for Spitfire Mk.I models.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I was the first production Spitfire and, together with the Hurricane, made up the backbone of the British fighter defense in the Battle of Britain. Its slender silhouette and early, simply arranged cockpit are a favorite subject for modelers.
Clean and degrease the surfaces of the cockpit. Moisten the backing paper under a 3D decal with a sponge and a drop of dish soap and do not immerse the sheet; lift the released element off with tweezers and seat it in a drop of PVA glue (white glue), and the flexible carrier will conform to the shape. The steel seat belts are more springy than classic etch and can be shaped into a realistic sag; they are glued with super glue. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution on 3D decals, as they would attack the printed resin.
The package holds 3D decals and photo-etched parts only. The model itself, paints and glue are not part of it.
