Control surfaces for the Spitfire Mk.IX (early version) in 1:72 scale are a resin accessory that replaces the control surfaces in a kit. It is not a model but detail parts that allow deflected positions.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of resin control surfaces for the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX fighter in 1:72 scale from Aires, in the version for the early form. It replaces the movable surfaces - the ailerons, the rudder and the elevators - with finely cast parts with a convincing fabric texture and leading edges. It is not an aircraft model but a detailed replacement that lets the surfaces be set in a deflected position and so brings an otherwise static model to life.
The Spitfire Mk.IX was one of the most widespread versions of the legendary British fighter. It was created as a rapid answer to the German Fw 190 and was powered by a strong Rolls-Royce Merlin engine with a two-stage supercharger. Deflected control surfaces and ailerons give a finished model a sense of movement and look particularly natural on an aircraft displayed out of the level.
These are resin castings. Wash them in lukewarm water with detergent and rid them of any mold release agent, otherwise neither paint nor glue will hold. Cut the casting blocks off with a fine saw away from the part and sand the surfaces. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with plastic cement. Protect your airways while sanding.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin set for more experienced modelers. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
