A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Brengun for models of the reconnaissance version of the Supermarine Spitfire PR Mk.IV in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but a set of fine metal parts that lifts the detail of a plastic model.
The Spitfire PR Mk.IV was an unarmed photo-reconnaissance Spitfire in which the space left by the armament in the wings was given over to fuel and cameras. Its long range and speed made it a key tool of British strategic reconnaissance.
Photo-etched parts for refining the cockpit interior and the exterior items, typically the instrument panel, the side panels, the seat belts and the small exterior details that plastic molds capture only coarsely.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a cutting mat, make the bends over a metal bender and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Paint the interior and bring it out with a wash before closing the fuselage.
