The real subject

The Sturmgeschütz III was among the most-produced German armored fighting vehicles of the Second World War and came about on the proven chassis of the Panzer III tank. The Ausf. F/8 version was the outcome of the development of the F series: it carried the longer 7.5 cm StuK 40 gun in the L/48 form and is cited as one of the first forms of the StuG to receive Schürzen armor skirts against anti-tank rifles. An infantry support gun to begin with, it was increasingly used as a tank destroyer as well.

Building and painting tips

First assemble and clean up the running gear and the hull. Glue the small parts and any photo-etched items with super glue. Once the base color and the camouflage scheme are sprayed on, the vehicle will come out thanks to washes and pigments, with which you create mud and dust effects and emphasize the cast as well as the sheet-metal surfaces.
