The UM 1:72 Sturmgeschütz 40 Ausf. G in Finnish service is a plastic kit of the German assault gun in the shape of the Finnish Sturmi. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.

An injection-molded plastic kit of the German assault gun Sturmgeschütz 40 Ausf. G (StuG III G) in 1:72 scale from the UM brand (UniModels), aimed at the vehicles committed by the Finnish army. The package usually holds plastic parts, decals, and in this range photo-etched items tend to be enclosed as well. It is a detailed model of the popular late form of the StuG III in a less usual Finnish rendering.
The Ausf. G was the most widespread and longest-produced form of the Sturmgeschütz III on the chassis of the Panzer III tank. The Finnish army acquired 59 of these vehicles in 1943 and 1944, and in Finnish service they were nicknamed Sturmi. Their crews achieved a number of successes in the fighting against Soviet tanks, and some of the vehicles served the Finnish army long after the war as well.
Assemble and clean up the running gear and the hull, and glue the small parts and the photo-etched items with super glue. A three-tone camouflage is typical of the Finnish vehicles; once sprayed, the details will come out thanks to washes and pigments for mud and dust effects. Do not forget the Finnish markings and tactical signs from the decals.
