Under this name Quinta Studio supplies a cockpit accessory for a model of the Soviet ground-attack aircraft Su-17M3 in 1:72 scale. The details are printed three-dimensionally and already in color on decal paper, so the result has relief as well as shades without the need to paint tiny instruments laboriously. The name moreover states that a part of printed resin is included. How many elements the box holds is not given by the maker in the name, so nothing of the kind follows here; the procedure for applying them is described in the maker's instructions. Do not use decal softener under any circumstances, however - it will damage the printed resin.
The Su-17 came about by rebuilding the older Su-7 into a machine with outer wing sections that can be swept in flight. The solution shortened the take-off run and improved behavior at low speeds without the need to design an airframe from scratch. The M3 version is among the later and most widespread ones, and it can be recognized by the deep dorsal spine with a greater fuel reserve and by modernized equipment for work over the battlefield. The type flew with the Soviet Air Force and with a number of foreign users, and in the export versions it carried the designations Su-20 and Su-22.
A cockpit in a small scale tends to be only roughly suggested in plastic, and coloring in dials the size of a pinhead is work for the patient. A colored printed interior shortens this part of the build and gives the pilot's compartment a depth that is clearly visible under a closed canopy. The set is an accessory, not a model - you need to have the Su-17M3 kit.
