Su-9 / Su-11 pitot tubes and missile rail heads (1:72) is a metal and resin set from MASTER for models of the Soviet interceptor.
Responsibility details are not available.
This detail set from MASTER brings precisely turned metal pitot tubes and fine missile rail heads in 1:72 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory replacing the plastic parts with a more faithful metal and resin version.
The Sukhoi Su-9 and its developed version the Su-11 (Fishpot in the NATO reporting name) were Soviet supersonic interceptors of the late 1950s and early 1960s. The machines, with a delta wing and a circular air intake in the nose, served with the air defense forces and carried guided missiles on underwing rails. The long forward pitot tube is characteristic.
Fit the metal tubes in place of the plastic parts, usually after drilling a small hole and fixing them with cyanoacrylate. Degrease both the metal and the resin before painting and apply a suitable primer. Fit the fragile parts at the end of the build so that they are not damaged during handling.
This is a supplementary set, not a standalone model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
