A set of masks and decals in 1:72 scale for a model of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Spitfire Mk.I was a British single-seat fighter, and the one the Royal Air Force entered the Second World War with. The machine is recognizable by its elliptical wing and by its slender fuselage with the canopy set high behind the engine. It is precisely the intricate shape of the cockpit and the framing of the canopy that make the most work during a build, which is why ready-made masks are worth reaching for on this type.
According to the name this is a combination of masking elements and decals in 1:72 scale. The extent of both, that is which areas the masks cover and which markings the sheet offers, is given in the instructions supplied by the manufacturer. The same name covers more than one item, so the details on the box are what tell them apart.
Masks are applied to a clean, degreased surface before spraying, so never onto a finished paint job. Press them down with a wooden stick or blunt tweezers so that no edge stands proud, and lift them off carefully as soon as the paint has set. The decals come last, onto a smooth, glossy base; the artwork is immersed in lukewarm water for a few seconds, left to rest and then moved into place. Before you wet the sheet, check in the instructions whether it is a self-adhesive version, because a self-adhesive film that has been soaked is ruined for good.
The aircraft model, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
