Peewit 1:72 landing gear bay covers for the Spitfire Mk I

This set is NOT a kit but painting covers by the Czech maker Peewit. It serves to cover the landing gear (wheel) bays perfectly while a model of the British Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I fighter in 1:72 scale is painted. The covers sit exactly in the openings of the bays and keep overspray off their inner surfaces and their surroundings. The set is intended for IBG kits.

The real subject

The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.I was the earliest production version of the legendary British fighter. It was these machines that, together with the Hurricanes, played the decisive part in the defense of Britain during the Battle of Britain in 1940.

Use

• Put the covers into the openings of the landing gear bays before painting
• Spray the outer shades with no risk of paint getting into the bays
• Once dry, take the covers out carefully
