UM T-34/76 with anti-HEAT screens 1:72 is an injection-molded plastic kit of the Soviet medium tank with added protective mesh screens.
Responsibility details are not available.
This plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian maker UM represents the Soviet T-34/76 medium tank fitted with added anti-HEAT screens. The model is molded in injection plastic with fine detail and is complemented by photo-etch. The protective screens along the sides of the hull and the turret give the model an unmistakable look.
The T-34 was among the most significant tanks of the Second World War; the version with a 76 mm gun combined mobility, good armor protection and easy production. The added screens, made of grilles or mesh standing off from the armor, were meant to set off the shaped charges of hand-held anti-tank weapons early and reduce their effect.
Assemble the running gear and the hull first, and only then add the thin screens and their brackets; use cyanoacrylate glue when gluing them. Glue the plastic with liquid cement. Once the green has been sprayed on, bring the model to life with a wash in the recesses, a dry brush and pigments for dust effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
